The ceremony celebrated the achievements of more than 100 graduating students from across the College's Schools of Visual Communication, Fine Art, and Materials & Design. The Lord-Lieutenant joined the academic procession and delivered a short address highlighting the importance of arts education, creativity, and the contribution that graduates make to the cultural and economic life of Herefordshire and beyond. 

During the ceremony, Mr Edward Harley CBE congratulated each graduand individually as they crossed the stage, presenting commemorative pins alongside Abigail Appleton MBE, Principal of Hereford College of Arts.

The event was attended by civic leaders, governors, fellows, staff, family members and friends, including Councillor Elizabeth Foxton, Deputy Mayor of Hereford. The ceremony also included the conferment of a Fellowship upon acclaimed contemporary artist Patrick Brill, better known as Bob and Roberta Smith, in recognition of his significant contribution to the arts and arts education.

Graduates were recognised not only for their academic success but also through a series of awards celebrating outstanding achievement, creativity, sustainability, and enterprise. Musical performances and student contributions added to a memorable afternoon of celebration within the historic surroundings of Hereford Cathedral.

Following the ceremony, the Lord-Lieutenant joined graduates and their guests at a reception, where he had the opportunity to meet students and hear about their future ambitions and creative projects.

Speaking after the event, the Lord-Lieutenant praised the graduates for their dedication and resilience, and congratulated Hereford College of Arts for continuing to nurture artistic talent and innovation within the county.
