Each year, the Lord-Lieutenant appoints up to five young people to serve as his Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets. They are selected from the Sea Cadet Corps, the Royal Marine Cadets, the Combined Cadet Force, the Army Cadet Force and the Air Training Corps. The Cadets assist the Lord-Lieutenant as required at numerous events around the county and act as ambassadors for their organisations.

The 2025/26 Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets are:
